The way in which I practise:
The way I approach working with someone is to first of all have as much awareness of myself as possible.
If I know myself and am aware of my strengths and weaknesses, this enables me to 'see' another person more fully and therefore to sense what is needed, or sense what is going on for that person in their
particular process. This awareness of both client and practitioner forms the basis of process work. Integrated with my Shiatsu training this approach of 'awareness to the process' leads to a powerful form of bodywork.
I don't pretend to always know what the answers are, but my experience of process work has shown me that it is possible to unravel even the most chronic of body/mind issues.
I work in a way that supports the person through a transformative process and not in a way that tells you there is something wrong with you.
Illness is often a meaningful expression of the unconscious mind and it serves a purpose in our lives.
Understanding how and why the illness is occurring is part of my approach.
We experience problems in the body because there is no separation between mind and body, it is one and the same thing. If there is chronic pain, it is usually a message from the psyche that an issue or past trauma needs addressing.
Through my strong intuitition and sensitivity and many years' experience of working with the subtle energy that flows through the body, it is possible to bring awareness to the root of your health issues.
My work is one of journeying with my clients and hopefully opening up the healing potential that is innate within us all.
